Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Educational Administration and Leadership: Theory and Practice (IJEDAL) employs a rigorous double blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scholarly contribution of all published manuscripts.

Initial Editorial Screening

All submissions undergo an initial evaluation by the Editorial Office and Editor-in-Chief. Manuscripts may be returned without external review if they:

  • Fall outside the aims and scope of the journal;
  • Fail to comply with the journal's submission guidelines;
  • Demonstrate significant methodological, ethical, or language deficiencies;
  • Lack sufficient originality or scholarly contribution.

Double Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to a Section Editor and sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and contribution to the field;
  • Relevance to the journal's scope;
  • Theoretical and methodological rigor;
  • Clarity of presentation and organization;
  • Validity of findings and conclusions;
  • Quality of references and supporting materials.

Editorial Decisions

Based on reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may reach one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.

Review Timeline

IJEDAL aims to complete the review process as efficiently as possible. The average time from submission to first decision is approximately 6–8 weeks, although review times may vary depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
